Airfares This Weekend In Select Markets Are Ok But Expect A Super Great Airfare Sale Tuesday August 11 About 3 p.m. Eastern

This weekend is what we call a "Hill Street Blues" type of weekend. In other words "be careful out there".

We are still finding good airfares many still for as low as $198 roundtrip.

But if your flying on a short haul on routes served by AirTran and Southwest you many want to wait until Tuesday. Sometime between 3 and 4 p.m. eastern we expect many of the low cost airlines to offer their newest sales.

We want you to wait until at least 3 p.m. or later to book to let the competition match the prices.

For example, today many short haul flights are between $20 to $30 higher. Some coast to coast airfares are up to $100 plus higher now. If you can lock in a coast to coast airfare with all taxes in the $258 roundtrip range or less go for it.

If your price is $300 or higher sit back and have a cup of coffee. In this case a couple cups of coffee or at least until 3 p.m. eastern Tuesday August 11, 2009. Have a great weekend!
