For a limited time, United Airlines is offering you and 8 other people a way to avoid baggage fees with their Premier Baggage program costing $349.
You and up to eight companions traveling under the same confirmation number can check up to two standard bags each without fees every time you travel within The United States or internationally on United or United Express for one year.
Each bag you check with United at the airport would normally be $25 for the first bag and $35 for the second bag. With a family of four with two bags each, can cost $480 roundtrip. With the Premier Baggage program from United, you could save $480 on your first trip alone because each person can check up to two bags for free. That's $131 more than the membership for the entire year!
This fee is $100 more than it was in 2010. However, in 2010 the program only allowed for 1 free bag per person, so this deal is spades better in comparison, even though it costs a little more.
If the bags are oversized, or overweight you will be subject to United Airlines baggage penalties. This program is for standard bags that weigh 50 lbs or less.
