Want To Come Home Early? Want To Come Home Later? For 50 Bucks, You Can
Change Your Flight.
Continental Airlines, along with a few other major airlines, now permits
same-day changes to airline tickets.
The old rule required you to select a new
flight 3 hours before or 3 hours after your original flight. The new rule
permits you to change your same-day flight up to 12 hours from the original
flight. Travelers can make changes up to 24 hours in advance.
With Continental downsizing their fleet this fall and with less flights to
choose from, this was a good move for travelers flying on restricted tickets
that wish to make a late change. Travelers who need to make a change must pay a
$50 fee, or $25 if you are an Elite member of Continental's frequent flyer
program.
