If you are looking for cheap getaway, be sure to check this offer, where the older you are the less you will pay for your luxury discount hotel room!

The older you are, the more you’ll save with Starwood’s Celebrate Your Birth Year promotion. You’ll pay the regular hotel rate your first night and on the second and third consecutive nights, you’ll pay a rate equal to your birth year.
For example, if you were born in 1950, you would pay $50 each night for your second and third nights. At some of their luxury properties, the rate will be $100 plus your birth year.
The offer is valid for stays through Dec. 31, 2012 at participating Starwood properties, including Sheraton, Westin, Four Points, Aloft, Le Meridien, Element and W Hotels. Guests must be 18 or older to receive the discounted rate, and you must present ID at check-in to confirm your date of birth.
When we checked out how this deal worked we clicked on the link below. The link below allows you to put in the city of where you want to stay. Upon hitting search the participating properties in that particular city show up. Each hotel will list their first night price, blackout dates, valid arrival dates and maximum number of nights.
Once you select your hotel, you will be taken to the booking calendar of available dates, choose your checking, and then the calendar will show available checkout dates, and will give you a nightly rate. Once you hit continue, you choose your room type. Be careful here, at some hotels they have a cheaper nightly rate listed, sometimes they have a discounted pre-paid rate, or a special promotion going on, however, the cheaper pre-paid or special promo rate can be misleading.
For example, If you stay at the LOFT Dallas, the pre-paid rate is $145 per night the total with all taxes is $502.55 for a March 6-9, 2012 stay. The pay your own birth year rate is $179 for the first night. This will give you a total of $617. But, once you check in to the hotel, the hotel will be notified that you booked the birth year promotion and they will ask to see your ID. If you were born in 1965, you will pay $65 a night for the 2nd and 3rd night, instead of the $179, and you will pay less in taxes.
The total you would pay is $355 rather than the $502 for the pre-paid. So while the pre-paid offer looks better up front once you do the math, you will see that the older you are the less you will pay. Even if you were born in 1995, you will still be better off booking the birth year rate, rather than the pre-paid rate! To find out the tax percentages you will pay, click on link that says, Get complete details about this rate, taxes and other charges. You will then be able to calculate the taxes on the second and third night.
Rates are based on single or double occupancy and do not include taxes and fees. The minimum-stay requirement varies by property. To reserve, call 1-877-782-0108 and use promotion code NBR, or visit Starwood Promos.
