Delta Airlines plans to almost double its nonstop destinations to LaGuardia to 60 destinations in 2012.
Delta Airlines takes Manhattan or at least La Guardia Airport in New York City.
Delta currently offers 35 nonstop destinations from LaGuardia. Between May and July 2012 Delta plans to offer 29 new destinations bringing the total well over 60 nonstop destinations.
The battle is really on here! Some of the new nonstop's Delta is planning is between NYC nonstop to Dallas and Miami; two of American Airlines largest hub cities.
Delta is also planning nonstop service to Denver and Houston, two of United and Continental's major hubs, as well as nonstop service to Charlotte, US Airways strong hold!
The total number of daily flights departing LaGuardia operated by Delta will be approx. 264 daily flights by July 2012. This action will put pressure on other airlines and will keep airfares stable in the NYC area.
