The best days to depart are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday or Friday departures with Sunday returns will bring the highest fares; Friday and Saturday night stays are the most expensive. If you want to spend the weekend in Las Vegas, depart on Saturday and return on Tuesday. If you can avoid the weekend altogether, you will save even more.
Also, not only will airfares be cheaper on the weekdays but, hotel rates drop drastically on the weekdays meaning you save even more money when you book a three night weekday vacation package.

As you will see in the chart below the two worst days to travel to Las Vegas for a 3 night stay is departing on a Thursday and returning on a Sunday.
The cheapest days if you want a 3 night weekend stay in Las Vegas is departing on a Saturday and returning on a Tuesday. In others words if you need to take off two days of the week don't make it Thursdays and Fridays. Make it on Mondays and Tuesday to save up to 50% off the Thursday thru Sunday package price.

Getting around
One last tip: My favorite way to get around the Strip and to downtown Las Vegas is to take the Deuce bus. A 24-hour pass costs $7, and you can hop on and off as much as you’d like. Compare that to a taxi ride that could easily cost $15 one-way, or the Monorail, which costs $12 for a day pass and covers only the Strip, and you will be happy to ride the Deuce.
