First we saw Maxjet, a low-cost Business Class airline, which flew from Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York (JFK) to London Stansted , cease operations without notice. Ceased operations the day before Christmas December 24, 2007.

Next, American owned EOS, which offered low-cost Business Class airfares between New York (JFK) and London Stansted airport. Ceased operations on April 27, 2008.

Then, low-cost Business Class airline Silver Jet ceased operations from Newark to London Luton airport on May 30, 2008.

Now, the Canadian owned Zoom Airlines ceased operations from Ft. Lauderdale and San Diego to London Gatwick on August 28, 2008.

In less than 10 months, four low-cost airlines serving the USA to Europe have ceased operations. Always remember when purchasing travel, use a credit card not cash, check, paypal, or especially a debit card. If the airline or tour operator goes out of business, you may want to see your money again.
