AirTran To Discontinue Service From Milwaukee And Atlanta To San Diego On October 27, 2008.

AirTran to discontinue service from Milwaukee and Atlanta to San Diego on October 27, 2008. This move by AirTran will probably bring airfares up from San Diego only to select USA markets.

Airfares that we do see that might be effected greatly are Savannah (GA), Hilton Head (SC), Charleston (SC), Dayton, Akron, Milwaukee, Sarasota (FL), Charlotte, Richmond, Pensacola (FL) and Bloomington (IL).

On these markets we could see airfares climb 50% or more for leisure travelers and up to triple the cost for business travelers who wish to leave with little or no advance notice. AirTran will continue Los Angeles service, which will give two alternate cities to choose from to help reduce your cost. For late Spring and Summer travel AirTran plans to return to San Diego, but only for the peak travel season.
